Bruce Tyler
Chief Executive
Bruce took over the role of Chief Executive
Officer at Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank in 2007.
Prior to this he was Director of Private
Banking in Manchester with HSBC, where
his 23 year career also encompassed senior
roles in Corporate, Commercial and Retail
banking. Bruce is a graduate in Banking and
Finance and an Associate of the Chartered
Institute of Bankers.
Mark Sweeting
Head of Credit
Mark has been with Whiteaway
Laidlaw since 1999 following 20
successful years at Royal Bank of
Scotland, the majority of which was
spent dealing with business
customers. He is an Associate of
the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Rob Kenyon
Business Development Manager
- Manchester
Rob is a relatively new member of the team at Whiteaway Laidlaw, having previously owned his own broking business after a long and successful business banking career at Royal Bank of Scotland. Having lived in the North West throughout his working life, Rob knows the area well, as well as the issues and opportunities facing businesses based there.
Shane Farrell
Business Development Manager

Shane joined Whiteaway Laidlaw in 1999, adding to the mix his considerable skills as a lender and Relationship Manager. Shane previously worked for Royal Bank of Scotland and has lived and worked in the North West throughout his career.
Wayne Damster
Senior Account Manager
- Manchester
Wayne joined Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank in 2007, having previously worked for NatWest, First National & Standard banks. He developed his lending & relationship management skills during a 20 year banking career in England & South Africa and is a graduate in Financial Management.
Matthew Brookes
Senior Account Manager

Matthew joined Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank straight from school in 1988 and has spent his working career within the Bank. Having gained experience in all sectors of Domestic & Foreign Banking he progressed to the SME department where he continues to service customers’ business needs on a daily basis.
Tom Ward
Account Manager

Tom has been with Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank for the past 6 years gaining experience in a number of different roles. Tom is currently studying further educational courses in Finance.
Carolyn Cole

Carolyn has spent all her career with Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank, joining in 1982. An experienced banker with a long track record of servicing the needs of business and personal customers.
